English Intensive Papers are geared towards preparing primary school pupils for school summative assessments and examinations. Based on the latest MOE syllabus, these sets of 8 or 12 papers are carefully designed with the following features to equip pupils with the knowledge and skills that they need to excel in English:
- Separate booklets allow pupils to practise completing each paper under examination conditions, be it in a classroom, tuition group or home-based scenario. In this manner, pupils can be trained to build up their endurance such that they are able to sit through an entire examination and learn time-management skills that are very important during timed assessments.
- Full-length papers permit pupils to familarise themselves with the examination format and the typical types of questions that they will encounter in school examinations so that they are well-prepared when they sit for actual examinations in schools.
- Higher-order questions which are of the same standard as those from top schools’ examination papers introduce more sophisticated vocabulary as well as teach pupils to tackle more challenging questions. With these skills, pupils will have a competitive edge over their peers.
The mastery of a language is a long process which requires consistent practice and effort. English Intensive Papers aim to guide and encourage pupils along this learning marathon by providing regular and constructive practice so that pupils can emerge as champions at the end of the day.
